Allow me to reintroduce myself

Hi, I’m Zack Evans, the co-founder and Creative Director of Create.Repeat. I’m thrilled to introduce myself and share the exciting plans we have lined up for the rest of this year.

In November 2022, we launched Create.Repeat. What began as a visual diary reflecting my thoughts and feelings turned into a thriving community of creatives almost overnight. For that, I want to say thank you.

Create.Repeat was born out of desperation. Newly married and laid off for the third time in three years, I felt lost, depressed, and like a failure. My amazing wife, Morgan (co-founder and all-around business badass), encouraged me to return to the internet after a four-year hiatus.

My career started as a video producer at BuzzFeed. If you were a fan of the once-media-giant in the mid-2010s, you might recognize me as the blonde guy who made silly videos. Not that blonde guy, the other one.

For a brief moment, I was cocky, internet-famous, and ready for a bright future. But reality had other plans. After hundreds of rejections, failed deals, and a dwindling following, I was broke and contemplating giving up my career as a creator.

The next few years were a rollercoaster. I jumped from company to company as a Creative Director (remember I was laid off three times in three years) never finding the fulfillment I craved. I was tired of building other people’s dreams while mine were on the back burner.

Create.Repeat is my dream. It’s a message to all creatives: don’t give up. I get it. I’ve lived it. I almost gave up too.

I’m incredibly grateful for this community and am dedicating the next chapter of my life to creating content for those who need it most. That’s why we’re doubling down on Create.Repeat for Phase 2.

In the coming months, we’ll dive into long-form content, specifically podcasts and YouTube. We want to have those nuanced conversations about living life as a creative for an audience on the same path. We’ll start uploading that content soon but in the meantime…
